We just spent last week in beautiful New Mexico at the Hyatt Tamaya Resort for The Paradise Artist Retreat. The art retreat was hosted by Tattoo Now/Off The Map Tattoo. WOW! What an amazing and transformational event. The photo above is the crew that we spent most of week with, though about 100 other artists attended the event and we got to mingle with most of them. We divided our time at the retreat attending painting and design seminars and workshops, chatting and trading ideas with other artists, engaging in live figure drawing sessions in the mornings, and working on our on personal projects in the open studio room. The seminars and workshops were led by Shawn Barber, Jeff Gogue, Nick Baxter, Guy Aitchison, Alex Grey, Allison Grey, and Chet Zar. The event was an amazing success and we, the artists of Tattooed Heart Studios, have returned home with a new sense of inspiration and a motivation to apply all of the wisdom that we have gained from this life changing event. I have posted some photos that I took along the way below, I will ask Amy and Paul to post some of their photos as well.
