Tattoo Before/Aftercare

BEFORE

Before coming to get tattooed, there are a few things you can do to make the procedure easier and more comfortable. The better you take care of your body, the easier it is for your body to take care of you. Try to eat well and come well rested. If you are coming in for a large piece, you may want to bring some snacks with you. Don't go too crazy bringing food, just bring some easy snacks like granola bars, fruit, nuts, or a sandwich. We have a fridge with some water and sport drinks if you get thirsty!

It is important to consider clothing when coming to get tattooed. Keep in mind that the pigments we use are permanent and do not wash out of most clothing. Don't dress like you are going out to the club, just wear something comfortable. If you are getting a thigh tattoo, you should wear or bring some gym shorts or something similar. If you are getting an upper arm tattoo, you may want to wear a tank top. These are just guidelines, just use common sense and ask your artist if you have any questions
.

The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Please do not drink alcohol the night before, or on the day of your appointment. Alcohol is not an acceptable pain management solution on the day of your tattoo.

AFTER

Wash and dry hands before applying. After removing the bandage, carefully wash your tattoo with warm water and soap. Apply a small amount of H2Ocean Care in palm of hand. Use your fingertips and gently apply H2Ocean Care on your tattoo 3-4 times daily. Before bed apply Ocean Care Creme to ensure moisture for the duration of the night and then apply again when you wake up. Good hygiene also assists in the healing of your tattoo. Wash your tattoo at least once a day when taking a shower.
